5 Items You Need to Be Gym Ready

tpfitness blog

You’re ready to take the dive! Today is the day you commit (or recommit) to hitting the gym regularly to help you reach your health and fitness goals. Here are the top 5 things you should be sure to have in your gym bag:

1. Wireless headphones. Having your own music helps you get in the zone, remain in the zone and can limit distractions. Wireless headphones are best because lack of wires are safer (can get caught in equipment or the dreaded pulling of your phone off the cardio machine and crashing to the floor) time and frustration from tangles. Just don’t forget to charge them! Side note, I do recommend carrying a pair of backup headphones just in case you forget your wireless headphones or forget to charge them. Also, if your gym offers machines with audio jacks for watching tv then you may also want to carry a cheap pair of corded headphones.

2. GComfy workout shoes. Sporting a good pair of workout shoes can make a huge different in your workout. Properly fitting and supportive shoes will improve your posture and stability during workouts while providing comfort. Shoe stability and cushioning also helps avoid injury and make workouts more pleasant.

3.Gloves wearing weight lifting gloves can protect your skin, enhance your grip, improve wrist support, relieve pressure on hands and and cut down on germs

4. Water. You must stay hydrated throughout your workout. We naturally lose water while working out, so you need to be sure to replenish often!

5. Snacks. Keep a stash of healthy standby snacks to fuel you during your workout and to avoid huger excuses. Recommended snacks include energy or protein bars, trail mix or a protein shake.

Keep this gym gear on hand and you’ll always be ready to smash every workout session!
